Roslyn Boys and Girls Club Activities

 

Roslyn Boys & Girls Club provides live enhancing programs which are building-centered, educational, cultural and recreational for the youth of Roslyn, in order to enrich their opportunities for healthy growth and character development.


Dances

The club has two dances each month.  Dances for the 5th and 6th graders is held on the second and fourth Friday of every month unless an activity sponsored by another organization is scheduled at the same time. The dances are from 7 to 10 PM.  Admission is $5.00. All dances have a DJ.  Refreshments are available for purchase.  The address of the clubhouse is 2818 Hammond Place, Roslyn, PA.  For information regarding dances, please contact Brian Ehly at (215) 659-1266.  Please keep in mind that the dances are always in need of help. 

Car Show

The 7th annual community festival along Easton Road has entertainment and features bound to appeal to everyone. Featured are face painters, DJs, action rides, clowns, Eagle Cheerleaders, the car show and so much more! It will be held on Saturday, September 22, 2007.

Computer Room

The facility now offers a computer room  with Comcast internet access and  an activity room which several game set ups. The main room  has a large screen TV for instruction as well as entertainment.  The facility is handicap accessible and the bathrooms are open for use during games at Roslyn Park.

Game Room

The Roslyn Boys and Girls Club's game room is used by both the After School Program Children, the Summer Camp Children and any other members of the Roslyn Community.

After School Program

The Roslyn Boys and Girls Club works hand in hand with the Abington Township Community policing in establishing an After School Program for the children.  We have a latch key program where students come after school come to our facility and in a supervised atmosphere utilize the activities till their parents come home from work.  For information about this program please telephone (215) 850-7802.

Scholarship Program

The Boys and Girls Club of Roslyn offers an opportunity to apply for the Joseph Marsden Scholarship to any boy or girl who has been a member of the club for three years.  These years do not have to be in consecutive order.
