Thank you Comcast for donating free internet cable access to the Roslyn Boys & Girls Club!
Comcast Cable has supplied the Roslyn Boys & Girls Club the exciting world of the Internet. Through Comcast the Roslyn Boys & Girls Club is receiving cable modem service and access to the Internet free of charge. They have provided the club with a high-speed Internet service delivering 24-hour, unlimited, broadband Internet access and national and local content directly to the Roslyn Boys & girls Clubs' personal computers via a coaxial cable connection, a cable modem and the industry-leading Netscape browser. The data transmission speed of the cable modem is hundreds of times faster than traditional dial-up phone modems and approximately 75 times faster than an ISDN line. Faster speed allows the club to thoroughly enjoy multimedia content such as video and audio clips and 3-D virtual reality images.

Thank you McDonalds for donating six computers, a printer and computer desks to the Roslyn Boys & Girls Club!
McDonald's founder Ray A. Kroc taught his family to share its success with others, a philosophy which has characterized the McDonald's community commitment since 1955.
McDonald's provides grants to non profit organizations whose programs help in Education and Social Responsibility.  The organization must have a program that directly benefits children and has consistent and effective management.  It must also have clear goals and objectives and have demonstrated an ability to respond to the needs of specific groups of children in a manner that yields measurable results.
